Defending champions Thailand blew their opponents away hitting 10 past Myanmar in a one sided match and also conceding two.

Fresh from their 3-1 win over Vietnam in the opening match, the Thais, now have scored 13 in the tournament  and is sitting perfectly on top.

The Myanmar side who lost 2-1 to Malaysia were no match for their opponents as they only had little possession as they match wore on.

The Thais started strongly in the first half holding the majority of possession, their patience paid off as they netted the goals by numbers.

Indonesia threw a spanner in Malaysia’s hopes of winning the Kuala Lumpur 2017 Sea Games women’s futsal  gold when they beat the hosts 2-1 on Sunday.

Coming of a 2-1 win against Myanmar, a win against Indonesia - who were playing their first match, would have put Malaysia one step closer to the top prize.

The hosts were slow to react to Indonesia’s advances and it cost them dearly as Novita Murni Piranti broke the deadlock for the visitors with a well taken effort in the 27th minute.

Susi Susanti doubled the scoreline from the second penalty spot before the break as Indonesia were in control of the match while Malaysia struggled to string passes.

Malaysia scored right after the restart, but only for it to be ruled out due to an infringement against the goalkeeper Citra Adisti.

In the second half, Malaysia started much better, holding possession and creating more chances with their runs as Indonesia were glad to sit in their own half.

Malaysia’s goal finally arrived through a Norhawa Yasin free-kick to the delight of the home fans but it was too little too late as Indonesia had a strong foothold in the match.
