Thirteen players of Ghana’s Under-17 female team have been denied entry visas to the USA, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The Black Maidens are expected to travel to America to firm up preparations ahead of the 2014 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica next month.

However coach Evans Augustine Adotey has been dealt a massive blow after majority of his players and some technical staff members were denied entry visas.

The latest development has disrupted their programme but the Ghana FA has indicated their readiness to appeal against the decision on Monday.

The Ghanaian side are racing against time to put their preparations into full gear ahead of the start of the tournament in March.

The Maidens are drawn in Group B with Germany, Canada and South korea.

They won bronze after beating Germany 1-0 in Azerbaijan two years ago.
