Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu voiced his disappointment in seeing his side fall to a 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina and is already shifting focus to a crucial match against Juventus.

The Zebrette continued their domestic woes when they fell to their 16th defeat of the campaign at the Artemio Franchi on Sunday afternoon.

Francesco Giudoline’s men were hoping for a late comeback after Bruno Fernandes halved the deficit with eight minutes to be played, but they couldn’t help but succumb to another loss.

"We did good in the first ten minutes with two or three attempts at scoring,” Badu told the club’s website.

“After Fiorentina's first goal we tried to recover in the second half, but their second goal really took us by surprise and despite Bruno's goal we couldn't get any points. But that doesn't matter anymore, we need to finish the championship as best as we can and focus on Juventus at once.”

Udinese will play host to the league leaders next Monday evening but the Ghanaian had a final word on his Viola opponents.

"We had a number of chances, they are strong and tactically skilled, we performed very well but were not lucky enough to score more. Helping out the squad and improve our position on the table must be our main goals from now on.”
