Ex-Ghana star Ibrahim Tanko believes the Black Stars will surpass expectations at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Ghanaians are largely touted as Africaââ¬â¢s real hope of making an impact following their progressive outings in the last two editions.
The Black Stars was the only African team which reached the last 16 in Germany 2006 and also got to the quarters four years later in South Africa.
ââ¬ÅGhana has always had a chance in tournaments because we have good players and a good team,â⬠he said
ââ¬ÅBig teams even have problems now and Germany are currently struggling with injuries as most of the players are not a 100% fit or are out of form.
ââ¬ÅI think beating Germany will definitely bring the confidence in the players which I believe will take them far in the tournament.
ââ¬ÅI think we have a really good chance at the world cupââ¬.
The team is paired alongside old foes USA and Germany as well as Portugal and Tanko, who is the current assistant coach of Cameroon, is confident the team has the credentials to excel in the South American country.
