Right to Dream Academy Chief Executive Tom Vernon says David Accam charted his way back into the Black Stars provisional world cup squad with his eye-catching displays.

Accam has been in top form after scoring 12 goals in all competitions for his Swedish side Helsingborg.

The 23-year-old is reported to have gatecrashed Kwesi Appiah’s squad and the man who helped hone his talent has paid glowing tribute to the fast-paced striker.

“He has shown all these while that hard work really pays,” Vernon, a former Great Olympics coach, said.

“Obviously, I believe he can live up to expectation in Brazil but it lies at the doorsteps of the coach whether he can bring his fine form to the team.

“He is scoring in every game for his team and for me, he will be [an] asset for the Black Stars.”

Accam must now fight for a spot in the final 23-man squad for the World Cup.
