Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has charged the Black Stars to concentrate on their final match against Portugal and not the outcome of the other Group match.
Ghana have slim chances of progressing from the pool with their qualification dependent on Germanyââ¬â¢s clash against USA.
The Black Stars must win their match in Brasilia on Thursday and pray Germany beat USA by a wider margin.
But Ghanaââ¬â¢s fear is that Germany might play for a draw against the Yanks, who are coached by a German, so both teams progress from Group G.
Appiah, a member of Ghanaââ¬â¢s backroom staff at the World Cup, says the Black Stars must do their part by winning their match.
ââ¬ÅWe are Ghanaians and we will never give up until itââ¬â¢s mathematically impossible,â⬠Appiah told GHANASoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅThe reaction from the guys after the U.S game has been tremendous and it will be disastrous to concentrate on the game between Germany and the U.S.
ââ¬ÅWe have a tough game against Portugal and I am insisting we put our total focus to win that game and see where we go on from there.ââ¬
Ghana fell to a 2-1 defeat to the U.S but recovered to earn a valuable point against Germany in a pulsating 2-2 draw game in Fortaleza.
