Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris has lauded compatriot David Accam who struck a wondrous injury goal in Helsingborg’s 2-0 win at Malmo on Thursday.

Accam is making a strong case for his inclusion Ghana’s squad for the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil this June.

The 23-year-old striker set up the opening goal for Abdul Khalili to score against the Swedish champions.

Waris, who graduated from the Right To Dream Academy in Ghana alongside Accam, could not help but extolled the technique employ in scoring the second goal.

“God performance bro that was a well taken goal and it got me really jumping,” Waris posted on his official Twitter page.

Accam has now netted 10 times in 12 outings for Helsingborg this season.

Ten goals in twelve matches speak volumes that is a striker for the world cup. Not the one goal in twenty five players people are clamoring to be included in the Black Star Squad. If we are really talking about merit, then this is it.

Akwasi Appiah should be bold enough to excercise honesty and justice. Accam and Antwi deserves to be in the World Cup Squad more than Jordan. Our World cup STRIKERS should be Gyan, Wariss, Accam and Antwi. C'est tout. I am sorry for Jordan but these 4 players are better than him.

You can't talk about strikers for Brazil without including boakye yiadom. He's the only GH player plying is trade in the toughest league ( Spanish LA liga ) in the world cup and scoring as well

Boakye yiadom is the only GH player or striker plying is trade in the toughest league in the world. A league with two teams in the champions league finals and one team in the eufa cup finals. I hope coach AA wl see the qualities in this prodigy chap. Indeed boakye yiadom is a world cup material…

Accam and antwi are good but boakye yiadom is meeting the best defenders in the world and you can't exclude him for the world cup.

Biakye yiadom is in top of all the strikers including waris. He plays in the toughest league in the world. Paying in the Spanish league is like playing in the world cup

@sammy ur right.. Boakye yiadom presence in the blackstars team will cause a lot of problems for most of the strikers, if only AA gives him the chance he gave other strikers. playing in the Spanish league is not a joke

This coach better realize that we are not going to shutout these football powerhouse countries. We can't employ the one-goal project strategy. We are going to have to score, and then score more. We need fast and skilful attackers who can score. Our defensive strategy should be a very potent attack and strong midfield. We need Gyan, Waris, Accam and Acheampong and KPB to pin opponents in their own half, away from our defense, and be very efficient upfront. We csn do this, just call the right players, and we have them. Good luck to us.

10 goals in 12 matches is impressive regardless of which league or counry! At long last, maybe, just maybe, ghana can finally win something! Ghana can win the next afcon easily!

Boakye yiadom has had more opportunities in the bs than waris, jordan etc but he never impressed. In my opinion he looks too lackdaisical. Spain can boast of being the best league but that league can also have some worse teams as well. Ryb is playing the best league and how many games has he started and the number of goals scored? Do not forget that although he scored some important goals in the past under -20 world cup he struggled to be in boboo's first team. I am sorry he has not done enough to be in brazil.

@boro you are a big fool. how many opportunities has boakye yiadom been given? check ur facts right before you talk foolishly. The only chance AA gave him was Sudan and Lesotho game and he was great. Apart from gyan, non of ur black stars strikers is better than boakye yiadom. Rby was not in booboo's first team because he wanted to market the local players. Accam is not yet der simple, he should go and play in a better league.

@boro You don't know anything in football.. Booboo was using the local players ahead of boakye yiadom because he wanted to market them outside. when you talk about opportunities, boakye yiadom is yet to be given enough opportunities in the blackstars team compared to other strikers. Wer you drunk when you wer typing? @boro. Rby is going to Brazil and nobody can stop him expect God
