French giants Olympique Marseille are set to throw out a $14 million offer from Italian Serie A side Napoli for Ghana attacker Andre Ayew as they look set to listen to offers from other club.
French newspaper La Provence reports Napoli have tabled a bid with manager Rafael Benitez overly impressed with the 24-year-old and has keenly followed his progress since dazzling at the Stadio San Paolo in a Uefa Champions League clash with Marseille last November.
However Marseille strongly feel the Naples-based side have under-valued their star-player and would tell them to up their bid or forget about signing the 2011 BBC African Player of the Year Award Winner.
Napoli's hesitation in increasing their proposed amount for the player would be at their own peril as other clubs have been on the alert to jump in if he is declare available for signing by Marseille.
Fellow Serie A side Inter Milan are interested while Liverpool manager Brendan Rogders is weighing up a 10-million pound bid for him. The REDs are particularly favourites to land him if they make an official bid as the winger has expressed interest in playing in the English Premier League.
Newscastle United and Arsenal have all been linked with the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup winning captain in the past.
