Maxwell Konadu, Ghana assistant coach at the 2014 World Cup, says their group opponents are also afraid of facing the Black Stars despite fears among fans that they could be thrashed by the giants Germany and Portugal in the group phase on the tournament in Brazil.
The Black Stars have been drawn in the Group of Death where they face the United States, Germany and Portugal which has caused panic and fear among the Black Stars fans.
Germany boosts of some of world's best players including several from European Champions League winning team Bayern Munich while Portugal has world's best player Cristiano Ronaldo as one of their top players.
The USA suffered two defeats at the hands of Ghana at the two previous World Cup and with Jurgen Klinsmann in charge of the squad he is keen on overturning that record against the Black Stars.
But the former Ghana international striker says the preparatory plans of all the three countries Ghana will face at the World Cup shows that they are also afraid of being embarrassed by the Black Stars.
“If you look at their training programs, camping plans and spy games, you can also see that they are not very comfortable being in the same group with us,†Konadu said.
“For me I think this is not an issue we should be talking or thinking about. If they are as good as they believe they are then I think they shouldn’t be thinking of camping, or even spying on us from time to time.
“It’s all about preparation, once we prepare well, I believe that we can even top our group and that is very possible from where I stand.â€
Ghana will open its World Cup campaign with a clash against USA before taking on Germany and Portugal.
