Jordan Ayew got on target for Sochaux

Ghana forward Jordan Ayew scored to help Sochaux keep their relegation survival course alive with a 2-0 win over OG Nice in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday evening. 

The 22-year-old cemented the victory for Herve Renard's side with a 56th minute finish at the Stade Auguste-Bonal.

Sochaux's fight to beat the drop has seen them maintain an unbeaten run in their last six games in the top-flight and they perpetuated that with an impressive victory over Nice.

Serbian international Nemanja Pejcinovic scored an own-goal to gift Sochaux the lead before the on-loan Olympique Marseille sealed the win for them 11 minutes into the second department.

After Jordan's goal, Nice tried to come into the game but Sochaux clinched their lead and won the game with Jordan lasting till the 81st minute.

The strike has taken his season's tally to four in 15 games.
