2014 World Cup: Ghana coach Appiah returns from South Africa, hard work begins
James Kwesi Appiah will arrive in Accra tonight

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will return home on Wednesday night from his holiday in South Africa to start the real hard work of naming his final squad for the World Cup in June.

The Black Stars trainer has been away for the past one week to rest in South Africa for the Easter Holidays to prepare his mind for the hard work ahead.

He arrives at a time that the state-owned news agency, the GNA, released a squad claiming to be the provisional 30-man Ghana squad Appiah is expected to release for the 2014 World Cup.

Despite being on holidays, Appiah met Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda and Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Rashid Sumaila this past weekend to see

Appiah was in the VIP section of the Dobsonville Stadium last Saturday to watch Sumaila in action for Mamelodi Sundowns against Moroka Swallows.

Appiah then held a short meeting with Dauda and Sumaila, before he later travelled to Bloemfontein where Pirates were set to play Bloemfontein Celtic on Easter Monday.

The Ghana coach is expected back in Ghana on today to finalize his selected players for the tournament in Brazil.

Appiah is expected to name his World Cup squad on May 12,  just few weeks before the Black Stars take on the Netherlands in a friendly international on May 31.
