Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has shifted focus on getting a famous win over Germany to ensure his team progresses at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Black Stars were handed a shocking 2-1 defeat by the USA in their opening Group G game played in Natal on Monday night.
Ghana came into the game wielding a 100 percent record over the Americans in their previous two meetings at the finals.
Goals at each ends of the game from Clint Dempsey and John Brooks however saw the Yanks secure their first ever win over the African giants at the World Cup before a dominant American fans on Monday night.
The result sees Ghana drop to third in Group G and in desperate need of a result against Germany in their next game to revive their chances of progression.
And coach Kwesi Appiah is already looking forward towards getting this job done immediately after a disappointing night in Natal.
ââ¬ÅEveryone know Germany have got a good team and theyââ¬â¢ve been together for some time now,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅI believe that we will give them a very good game and try to get the win for us to qualify.ââ¬
Ghana is for the first time facing a first round elimination at a World Cup with the defeat to the USA.
The Black Stars can however draw some inspiration from their debut campaign at the World Cup in Germany 2006 where they bounced back from an opening defeat to eventual winners Italy to progress.
