Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has revealed he has done a good work on the USA team ahead of their FIFA World Cup Group G clash on Monday.

Appiah will be taking charge of his first World Cup match although he was assistant coach at the last tournament in South Africa.

The ex-Ghana captain is under-pressure to maintain the winning record of two straight wins over the Yanks.

Appiah says he has done a lot of work on his opponents and remains confident of opening their campaign with a win.

“The U.S is a very strong team with a good coach. We have to concentrate on our game and make sure we are on top of our game against them,” he told the media.

“They have a good team and qualified for the world cup comfortable, I was privileged to have been on the bench against them when we last beat them so I have an idea about their play.”
