Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is confident that his team will do everything possible to avoid first round elimination at the World Cup finals.

The Black Stars will have to beat Portugal heavily and hope that either Germany or USA lose by a huge margin.

Fears are that the two teams could eliminate Ghana by playing a drawn game which would be enough to see Germany and U.S through.

But Appiah says his players will give it their best shot.

“We had always known it was a challenging group but we will keep fighting and hope to make it out of the group,” Appiah said.

“Ghana knows only one thing and that is to fight till the end so we are still in it and we will give it our all.

“We will approach the Portugal game like any other game we have played in the world and that is to win it.”
