The entire Ghana contingent have arrived in Accra on Sunday afternoon following their botched campaign at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The team arrived in a chartered flight in Accra at noon.

17 Players plus Ghana's technical team and Ghana Football Association officials flown to Accra's Kotoka International Airport on Sunday noon and officials are set to meet the Ghanaian media to give details on the campaign.

Quartet Adam Kwarasey, Albert Adomah, Christian Atsu, Michael Essien had already left the team’s camp for their respective bases in Europe.

AC Milan star Sulley Muntari and Schalke 04 midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng were dismissed from the team's camp in Brasilia following acts of indiscipline reducing the remaining number in camp to 21 before the  quartet left camp.

The Black Stars who reached quarter-finals of the last edition in South Africa failed to progress beyond the group stages as they finished bottom of Group G with just a single point.

The Ghana contingent left their base in Maceio for Natal where they got on a chartered flight straight to Accra and arrived back home around noon.

Captain Asamoah Gyan however succeeded in becoming the most scoring African player in the history of the World Cup having broken Roger Miller’s record by scoring two goals this term to see his tally rise to six in three tournaments.

Local fans did not swarm the Airport to welcome the team as they did at the 2010 finals.
