Ghana defender Jerry Akaminko has distanced himself from all transfer speculations and focused on the impending 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.

The 26-year-old, who has had an impressive season, has been linked with stellar European sides.

Akaminko, playing in his second season for Eskirshirspor, could be heading to giants Galatasaray or big clubs in Spain and Germany.

But the former Heart of Lions guardsman remains focused and says he is not thinking about where he will be playing next season.

“At the moment, I have a contract which is going to expire in 2016; I’m not too in a hurry to leave Eskirshirspor although there are some few clubs who are interested. For now, I’m concentrating on my game so I will leave that to my managers,” Akaminko told Accra-based Power FM.

“We also have the World Cup ahead of us and I’m concentrating on that too. So for now, I don’t want to concentrate on transfer.”

Akaminko has made 27 appearances Turkish Super Lig appearances for Eskirshirspor this season.

His side are 11th on the league table with two matches to the end of the season.
