Ghana defender is out if contract at Standard Liege this summer

Ghana defender Daniel Opare has given the greatest indication of his imminent exit from Belgian club Standard Liege.

The 23-year-old is out of contract this summer having been with the Reds for the past four years.

Portuguese giants FC Porto are reportedly interested in signing the Black Stars full back as talks over a contract renewal at Standard Liege stalls.

The ex Real Madrid player has now hinted he might have played his last game for the Belgian club by thanking the side for his productive four year stay.

“Match day and last game for Standard de liege, Wow! How fast time can fly is already 4 year in this beautiful club, all I have to say is THANK YOU STANDARD DE LIEGE for all you've done for me. Godfirst,” Opare posted with a picture on his Instagram page.

Opare will now be heading to Ghana to join the Black Stars’ non-residential camping for the 2014 World Cup which starts on Tuesday.
