Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has declared himself fit and available for selection to face Germany in Saturday’s crucial Group G match.

The 21-year-old had a swollen toe and was forced off training on Wednesday.

Team doctor Baba Adamu had said the Mamelodi Sundowns player would be assessed to see if he can recover in time to offer head coach Kwesi Appiah options.

But Sumaila has revealed that  he is ready to play.

"I am feeling very ok with no pains. I didn’t think I could feel this way earlier in the week but things have really moved on very fast," the centre-back told Africanfootball.com

"The game against the U.S was a hard pill to swallow but we have decided to move on from it and focus on the game against the Germans."
