The Ghana FA has rubbished reports of player revolt in the Black Stars camp ahead of the crucial 2014 World Cup game against Germany on Saturday.

Some Ghanaian radio stations reported on Tuesday evening in Accra that players of the Black Stars have decided to boycott the team’s preparations for Saturday’s game in Fortaleza over unpaid appearance fees.

Others also claim some of the senior players have decided not to take part in training in protest of the selection policy of coach Kwesi Appiah.

These reports sufficed in the wake of Ghana’s heartbreaking opening defeat against the USA on Monday.

But Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi insists there are no truths to these emerging reports of disquiet in the Black Stars camp.

“There is no agitation or revolt from the players,” Nyantakyi said at a press conference at the Black Stars training pitch in Maceio with all the 23 players attending the training, showing no signs of discontent.

“We have seen reports in the Ghanaian media of revolts over bonuses and selection.

“I want to use this opportunity to debunk these reports.

“I even read that some of the senior players have decided to boycott today’s training but I can confirm they are all here training.

“I can match you to the training ground for you to take a head count for yourself to verify whether everyone is at training.

“So let us please put an end to negative reports which are untrue. If it were true, I wouldn't have any problem but these are not true.”

All the 23 players underwent recovery training on Tuesday evening with those who played in Monday's defeat to the USA having less training while the others had rigorous training.
