Ghana attacker David Accam scored a double for Helsingborg IF and lifted them to an impressive 3-1 victory over bottom-placed Mjällby in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday afternoon.

Accam found the net within four minutes (57th and 61st) minutes after a pulsating first-half which ended at the Olympia without a goal.

The former Right to Dream Academy graduate has take his season's tally to an impressive 9 goals in 11 games (all competitions) but Sunday's brace has taken his league tally to 4 in 6 games and his second brace of the season.

Helsingborg are uncharacteristically are lying below a mid-table spot and they needed inject seriousness into their game but a shady first 45 minutes was uninspiring with struggling Mjällby frustrating them to a scoreless draw.

But after the returned from the break, Accam too matters into his hands and scored twice to give his side a firm lead before he was eventually taken off in the 88th minute.

While Accam was busily murdering Mjällby, former Heart of Lions midfielder Kwame Bonsu was in action for Mjällby but could not make any meaningful alteration to his side's fate in the game.

Midfielder Ema Boateng missed the game with a back problem.

Will be a grief shame if Accam doesn't make it to the world cup,9 goals in 11 matches, the guy has something in him, hopefully the coach is taking notice.

He deserves, at least, to play in the upcoming friendlies. Then, based on his performance, take him to Brazil. Bring Frank Acheampong along, while you are at it. With Waris and Gyan spearheading the attack, flanked by Accam and Acheampong, defenders will eat our dust. Too much SPEED and SKILL in the attack for our opponents to handle.

I now think that AA should look beyond players just being in the first team but players actually making the difference in the various teams that they play as Accam is doing. If we are able to assemble crop of players who are already carrying their teams on their shoulders then i do not think it will be difficult to do same for the Bs. This why this Guy should be called to justify into the bs.

Yea it took AA long time to bring in WAKASO AND WARIS to the Black stars even though they were excelling in their respective clubs. I believe he had taken notice of this guy too. He is the kind who can beat an opponent and give a clean pass.Lets hope he catches AA's eye. Brazil is ours by the grace of God.
