AC Milan manager Clarence Seedorf has handed a starting place in his team to Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari for this afternoon's Serie A clash with Atalanta.

The 29-year-old completes a crusting midfield quartet consisting of Keisuke Honda, Riccardo Montolivio and Nigel de Jong as the Rossoneris seek a second straight win at the expense of Atalanta at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.

Compatriot Michael Essien starts the game from the bench.

Seedorf refused to confirm Muntari's starting place in his squad when he was asked the question on Saturday but has named the midfielder in his team.

Marco Amelia; Mattia De Sciglio, Adil Rami, Philippe Mexes, Kevin Constant; Riccardo Montolivo, Nigel De Jong, Sulley Muntari; Keisuke Honda; Ricardo Kaka, Mario Balotelli.

Bench: Coppola, Gabriel, Abate, Bonera, Zapata, Emanuelson, Essien, Taarabt, Poli, El Shaarawy, Robinho, Pazzini.
