Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed came off the bench to score his first goal for Kuban Krasnodar in their 4-0 thrashing of Kraylya Sovetov on Saturday.

The 24-year-old who returned to regular first team action a few weeks back after making a full recovery from injury is beginning to show signs of his best form with some few weeks to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Rabiu has only made eight league appearance for Kuban so far this season – owing his limited first team opportunities to injuries.

The former Evian TG midfielder however came off the bench to put a gloss on a classy performance by his Russian club in their 4-0 drubbing of Kraylya.

The Black Stars midfielder took just 14 minutes to score his first ever goal for Kuban having replaced Melgarejo Sanabria in the 65th minute.

Viktor Goncharenko’s side were already in a commanding 3-0 lead before unleashing the tough tackling Ghanaian into the fray.

Rabiu’s confidence will definitely be boosted with his first Kuban goal following his extensive of struggle with injuries.

He is expected to be part of the Black Stars squad for June’s World Cup in Brazil.
