Published on: 08 May 2014
Black Stars are still ranked 38th in the world.

Ghana remained unchanged in 38th place on the FIFA ranking released for the month of May on Thursday.

The Black Stars are one of 143 teams who retained their April ranking after little activity last month.

Also, Ghana still remain the fourth best team on the continent behind Cote d’ Ivoire (21st), Egypt (24th) and Algeria (25th).

FIFA took into account just 13 matches which saw Brazil climb two places to.

It is Brazil’s best position on the global ladder since July 2011.

Spain lead and followed by European duo Germany (2nd, unchanged) and Portugal (3rd, unchanged).

Spain have now held the top spot since September 2011.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 5 June 2014.

Egpt's trashing is the reason you are in group of death. You people had forgotten they have the headquarters of CAF. It was your unimaginable loss to libya and Motenegro and your perpetual boasting that cost you a fine group and the main reason you must remain behind them.
