Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has warned they must not underrate any country in their tough group at the World Cup as there could be shocks in the group.

The France-based midfielder says they will be hailed by fans if they manage to progress from the 'Group of Death' insisting that there are no pushovers at the World Cup.

The Black Stars were placed in the tough Group G where they will play USA, Germany and Portugal who all rank higher than the Ghanaians.

Despite this, some fans of the Black Stars have already concluded that the Black Stars will progress from the group but Ayew says that would be a hasty conclusion insisting they must work hard to achieve qualification.

"Nobody should think that Ghana will have it easy and just qualify. If we make it from this group that alone should be celebrated as an exploit," Ayew told a press conference in the Black Stars team hotel in Maceio on Friday.

"If we are eliminated people will say maybe it was because there was Germany and Portugal."

Ghana will face the United States on Monday before playing Germany and Portugal.
