Ghana winger Christian Atsu has vowed to put an end to Portugal’s World Cup campaign when the two sides meet on Thursday in a crucial Group G decider.

The Black Stars will have to beat Portugal handsomely and hope that Germany beat the USA or Jurgen Klinsmann’s side win by a high margin.

Atsu knows much about Portuguese after spending three years in the country and played for FC Porto and Rio Ave.

The 22-year-old has been impressive so far and believes the Black Stars are determined to put Portugal to the sword.

“We have given it our all and I am very certain we will beat Portugal,” the Chelsea man said.

“The game won’t be easy since we all have a genuine chance but we are confident in ourselves and will win.

Atsu is also aware the Black Stars could be knocked out if they lose to Portugal in Brasilia.

“In football everything is possible but we believe we will go through, it’s unfortunate that we find ourselves in such a position and it’s the reality but we will sail through.”
