Ghana goalkeeper Daniel Agyei seems to have dropped down the pecking order at South African Premier Soccer League side Free State Stars.

He finds himself in the same situation as his countryman Fatau Dauda who is lacking game time at Orlando Pirates.

Agyei started the season as the number one goalkeeper at Ea Lla Koto but suffered an injury which disrupted his progress at the Bethlehem outfit.

The 24-year-old recovered and was in goal during the 2-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns two weeks ago.

However, the goalkeeper was dropped for the game against Polokwane City last week.

Tshepo Motsoeneng and Ayanda Mtshali were selected ahead of him, as Kinnah Phiri and his technical team travelled to Limpopo for the relegation battle against City.

It remains to be seen if the player will work his way back to the 18-man match day squad for the team’s next game against AmaZulu this weekend.
