Greuther Furth defender Baba Abdul Rahman believes the Black Stars can sneak past Germany and also reach far at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.

The left-back has enjoyed two seasons in Germany- his first year in the Bundesliga and a just ended campaign in the Bundesliga II.

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah excluded the youngster, who made 24 league appearances, from his provisional squad.

But he is confident the players assembled are capable of progressing from their Group with wins over their Group opponents next month in Brazil.

“I have been here for two years now and I can tell there is very little to choose between the Black Stars and the Germany national team. It will be a tight match but I tip my national team,” Rahman told Africanfootball.com

“Ghana has a strong squad and it doesn’t matter who is in the squad but the team work and unity also make us tough to beat.”

Rahman’s side failed in their quest to return to the German top-flight after losing out in the playoffs with Hamburg.
