Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has vowed never to allow all the side issues that rocked his team at the 2014 World Cup to be repeated.

The Black Stars crashed out of the tournament after the first round having finished bottom of Group G with just a single point.

It was the most disastrous campaign ever for the Ghana team that thrilled the whole world in their previous two appearances at the finals.

Disciplinary issues and player revolts rocked the Black Stars team in the heat of their campaign in Brazil.

The players had instigated a strike following the delayed payment of their appearance fee while Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng were expelled for various disciplinary issues.

Muntari physically attacked a high-ranking Ghana FA official while Boateng was said to have insulted the coach at a training sessions.

The ex AC Milan teammates were thrown out of the Ghana camp the morning before they faced Portugal in their final group game which they eventually lost 2-1 to crash out of the tournament.

And Kwesi Appiah who superintended over Ghana's woeful showing in the tournament expected to be the best ever for the Black Stars has offered a guarantee it will never happen again under his watch.

“In 2006 and 2010 there were no issues. Everything was paid before the tournament,” he said.

“This time around it wasn't the same and players having played one or two games and they are not getting what they are expecting, they will definitely react.

“I am 100 percent sure that once I am in charge, something like this will never happen again.”
