Ghana ace Kevin-Prince Boateng was at AC Milan’s training ground on Thursday to visit compatriots Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari ahead of their final Serie A match on Sunday.

The former Germany youth international and the duo will be heading to the Black Stars camp next week to begin preparations for the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.

"I also came here to see @MichaelEssien and @MuntariOfficial. I'm happy that I will be going to the World Cup," Boateng said.

The Schalke 04 midfielder, who left the San Siro outfit last summer, says his heart is still with the club.

He is backing the club to regain their glory days next season under coach Clarence Seedorf.

"I miss my former team-mates at Milan so much, and I always watch Milan's matches," Boateng added.

"I'm still a Milan fan. Milan is still in my heart.

"This season will fortunately be over soon. I'm sure that Milan will do better next season.

"I want to thank everyone, from Galliani to the Milan fans, for the messages I received when my son was born. Forza Milan.”

Milan end their season with home match against Sassuolo.
