Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is putting a lot of premium on the exhibition match against a local select side to bid an official farewell to the Black Stars ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

The Ghana team will come up against ‘the Dream Team’ an assembly of players from the local third tier to the top flight on Friday.

The game is expected to thrill local fans as all but two of players from Ghana’s provisional squad for the 2014 World Cup will be in action.

Coach Appiah however wants Ghanaians to have a teaser of how he wishes his team to impress during the World Cup in Brazil in this farewell game.

“Friday’s game is very important; we need to showcase ourselves to all Ghanaians,” he said.

“We expect that each and every Ghanaian will come and watch us play and pray for us.

“By Thursday we should have a full house but only two players that is Michael Essien and Kevin-Prince Boateng will be absent.”
