Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris has made a return from a short-term minor injury lay-off and has been named in Valenciennes starting line-up to face giants Olympique Lyonnais in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday afternoon.
The 22-year-old pulled out of training last week with a minor thigh problem and did not travel with the Reds for the 0-0 stalemate at Montpelliar.
However the striker returned to training on Monday and has reclaimed his place in the Valenciennes starting line-up as they face Lyon at the Stade du Hainaut.
VAFC Line-up : Novaes - Lala, Medjani, Kagelmacher (Cap.), Ciss - Da Silva, Doumbia, Ducourtioux, Masuaku - Pujol, Waris.
Subs: Penneteau, Mater, Enza-Yamissi, Melikson, Dossevi, Nguette, Le Tallec.
The Black Stars striker will be seeking to extend his scoring run in the French top-flight.
