The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that they will play pre-2014 World Cup friendlies against Scotland, the United States and Greece before they travel to Brazil for the tournament.

The Super Eagles will play Scotland in London on 28 May at Craven Cottage before flying to the United States where they will play Greece in Philadelphia on 3 June.

Nigeria will wrap up their preparations with another friendly against the United States on 7 June at the EverBank Field Stadium in Jacksonville.

The NFF insists there has been no change to their plans for the friendlies as the Super Eagles will open camp in London on 25 May and will travel to the United States on 29 May

"We have heard people talking about cancellation of the friendly with the Senior Team of USA. Sincerely, we don't know where that is coming from," NFF spokesman, Ademola Olajire said.

"For avoidance of doubt, the NFF and its Official FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport hereby re-confirm that the Super Eagles will regroup in London on Saturday, 25th May, play Scotland at the Craven Cottage ground of English Premiership side Fulham FC on Tuesday, 28th May and fly to the USA on Wednesday, 29th May.

"The African champions will play the Senior Team of Greece at the Philadelphia Union Stadium on 3rd June and then take on Team USA at the EverBank Field Stadium in Jacksonville on 7th June, before flying to Sao Paulo on 11th June."

Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport added: "The United States provide us with similar climate and time zones as we will encounter in Brazil and more importantly, provide us with world class facilities for both training and accommodation, for our players' comfort.

"This will give us the opportunity to provide the right atmosphere for our players as well as afford them quality training facilities ahead of the FIFA World Cup."

The friendly against the United States is meant to the Americans to test an African opponent before they take on Ghana at the World Cup.
