Cristiano Ronaldo says he wants to score more goals at the World Cup

Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo says will be seeking to outwit their group opponents including Ghana to reach the knock-out phase of the World Cup next month.

The world's best player has warned the Black Stars and his other group opponents that he will be  seeking to score more goals in the tournament to be played in Brazil.

The Black Stars have been drawn in the same group with Portugal, Germany and USA in the Group of Death of the competition which has sparked fears among some of the group opponents.

Ronaldo, who single-handedly scored three goals to help Portugal defeat Sweden in the play-off to qualify for the World Cup, says he is not relenting on his ambitions of scoring goals and helping his country to reach the second phase of the World Cup.

“All goals are special, at least to me. They are part of my culture and my people. Taste of making goals and all are important to win something,” Ronaldo said in an interview.

“We must not forget that we had a difficult qualifying phase and we had to play the play-offs. It will be extremely tough tournament, but our priority is to pass the group stage and then we will see what happens,” he said.

Ghana will open its World Cup campaign against the United States before taking on Germany and Portugal.
