Matthew Amoah says he is not thinking about return to the Black Stars

Holland-based striker Matthew Amoah says he is not keen on returning to the Black Stars despite enjoying some game time for Heracles.

The 33-year-old has scored two goals in 15 Eredivise appearances and has been one of the competitive Ghana players abroad.

Amoah, who has netted seven times in 27 international caps, has ruled out his availability for a call-up ahead of the 2014 World Cup finals.

“I’m not thinking about the Black Stars because it has been a long time,” Amoah told Power FM in Accra.

“Since South Africa I have not been playing [for Ghana].

“I’m not thinking about Ghana and what I’m thinking about is how to help Heracles survive relegation. Right now I’m not focusing on the Black Stars.”

Amoah played bit-part roles for Ghana at the 2006 and 2010 finals in Germany and South Africa.
