Stromsgodset coach Ronny Deila says he is determined to keep Ghana goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey although his captain his dragging his feet on signing a new deal.

Kwarasey’s contract expires at the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old has rejected several offers submitted by club.

It is unclear if Kwarasey wants to wait after the World Cup to pen a new contract or disinterested in remaining at the club.

“We have stretched as far as we can. Adam knows how important he is for us and he knows what he gets if he stays here,” Deila told Dagbladet.

“But if he wants to move on without signing a contract here, so he must do it. It will be his choice.”

Kwarasey is in his seventh season at the club and captained the Oslo-based side to win the Norwegian Tippeligaen last season.

He will be named in Ghana’s squad for the Brazil 2014 World Cup finals this June.
