Turkish giants Galatasaray have tabled a € 4 Million offer for Ghana star midfielder Michael Essien, according to reports in the Italian media.
The 31-year-old has been on the radar of Roberto Mancini's side since his free transfer move to Italian giants AC Milan from Chelsea and they are prepared to make a bid for him in the summer.
Essien has started just three Serie A games for Milan since joining them in January and Mancini feels the experienced midfield workhorse is being underused by Milan manager Clarence Seedorf and could still get the best out of the former Real Madrid star.
However, Galatasaray could face domestic competition for the midfielder as Besiktas have also reportedly shown interest in signing him from Milan.
Should the move materialise, he would join his former Chelsea team-mate Didier Drogba.
