The fact that his namesake Cristiano continues to score goals at an incredible rate has meant that when people think of Ronaldo these days, they immediately think of the Portuguese phenomenon and not the Brazilian beast who was probably the best striker in the world from the late 90s to the mid-2000s.
It has also led to him being unfortunately dubbed as ââ¬ËFat Ronaldoââ¬â¢ occasionally in order to make a distinction between the two but any real football fan who witnessed him in his prime couldnââ¬â¢t help but marvel at the strength, power, pace, quick feet and finishing ability that made him nigh on impossible to play against.
Ronaldo was able to put the latter three qualities to good use when one-on-one with the goalkeeper and one could argue that there has never been and might never be anyone as good in those situations as he was.
