South Africa want the AFCOn title

The Bafana Bafana are in a really tough group with Algeria, Ghana and Senegal – and they will certainly need to be at his best if they want to top the group that contains teams that are ranked higher.

Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba this week named a provisional 34-man squad for the 2015 continental showpiece and has players who can compete with the tough sides in the group.

And Mashaba has certainly made his intentions known. He is not interested in just making up the numbers. He wants Bafana to go all the way.

“We want to win the Cup,” said Mashaba.

“Often we go into these competitions and we only talk about making the next round or such like. We want to get to the final, that’s the aim.”
