The final qualifying match for the 2015 African Youth Championship qualifier between Ghana and Gabon has been moved to Accra.

The Black Satellites were initially billed to play the first leg tie at the Tamale stadium but the fixture will now take place at the Accra sports stadium due to financial difficulties.

Coach Sellas Tetteh’s side have adopted the Tamale stadium as their home venue and enjoy massive support any time they play in front of the home fans.

But financial constraints have forced the Ghana FA to shift the game to the capital.

“We planned to play [Gabon] at the Tamale Sports Stadium. In recent times, that’s where we play our home games but the Sports Ministry has made us understand that this one should be honoured in Accra because of some financial constraints,” Management Committee Chairman George Afriyie confirmed.

The Ghanaians will be eager to record a convincing win from the first leg to make the return encounter a mere formality.

The 2015 African Youth Championship will be hosted by Senegal from March 8-22.
