Algeria coach Christian Gourcuff has started undercover work on his Nations Cup group opponent ahead of the start of the tournament next year.

The Frenchman has obtained copes of matches of the Black Stars, South Africa and Senegal as he prepares his battle the trio during the ‘group of death’.

The Algerian Football Federation are leaving no stoe unturned and have armed the coach to deplo tactics to scale past the difficult group.

Gourcuff has already started report on the group’s opponent and awaiting the technical reports on the preparations of the three teams, according to reports in the Algerian media.

According to experts, the observation of opponents can never be effective through videos and requires a presence on the ground to observe the location of the players.

Algeria have put premium on their group opponents and have sent scouts to monitor the progress of their players who mostly are based in Europe.
