Ghanaââ¬â¢s womenââ¬â¢s national team have been boosted by news that key defender Elizabeth Addo will be available for Saturdayââ¬â¢s Olympic Games qualifier against Cameroon.
Addo is expected to arrive in Ghana on Friday from her base in Hungary where she plays for top-flight side Ferencvarosi.
The inclusion of the former Rivers Angels FC strong centre-back will excite coach Yusif Basigi ahead of the crucial return leg against the Lionesses.
Addo will become the third foreign-based player to join the squad following the arrivals of Linda Eshun and Samiratu Suleman from Iceland.
Ghana hold the edge to progess to the final qualifying round after drawing 1-1 in Yaounde two weeks ago.
