Ghana skipper Lawrence Lartey remains confident of grinding a favourable result away to Congo in the qualifiers to the Caf U-23 Championship.
The Black Meteors laboured to a 1-0 first leg win over the Red Devils through a 44th minute strike by winger Enoch Ebo Andoh in Accra on Saturday.
Congo, led by former Ghana coach Claude Le Roy proved a strong side and the slender first leg outcome has raised some apprehension ahead of the return encounter next weekend.
But the AshantiGold centre-back remains positive about Ghanaââ¬â¢s chances on May 30.
ââ¬ÅIt was a very tough game because they also came here very prepared. They really gave us a tough match and I think they are a very good side,â⬠Lartey admitted after the game.
ââ¬ÅThe result was not what we were looking for because we were hoping to score more goals but it didnââ¬â¢t happen that way.
ââ¬ÅI still believe we can go there and get the result we need in order to qualify to the next round - just the way they came here to play, we can also go there to play and qualify.ââ¬
The winner of this tie on aggregate faces Nigeria in the final qualifying round.
