Ghana coach Avram Grant is expected to arrive in the country this week to begin preparations for next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda.

The Israeli trainer will announce his squad for the game in Kigali with majority of the players who featured in the opening qualifier against Mauritius expected to keep their places.

However, the arrival of the 60-year-old will not be without controversy after reports emerged in the local media that he will be quizzed for overstaying his holidays in the United Kingdom.

Officials of the Ghana FA are reported to be unhappy with his lack of attention for the domestic league and will be seeking answers on why he overstayed his leave.

Grant’s penchant for traveling outside Ghana is beginning to upset officials of the FA who will be demanding for serious answers with a potential disciplinary action looming.

The Black Stars will play Congo in an international friendly before taking on Rwanda in their second group H game in Kigali on September 6.

The West African giants overpowered Mauritiius 7-1 in their opening qualifier in Accra two months ago.
