Ghanaian players in Europe hit top form over the weekend ahead of the 2017 Afcon qualifier with the Amavubi of Rwanda as Andre Ayew scored to inspire a 2-1 win over  Manchester United in the English Premier League with John Boye fetching the winner for Sivasspor in Turkey.

Andre Ayew was voted the Man of the Match in the game against Manchester United after he also assisted Befetimbi Gomis to score the winner for Swansea City with a well orchestrated pass from the outside of his foot from the right side of the Manchester United midfield.

Jeffery Schlupp continued to display his impressive performance for Leicester City as they fetched a point at AFC Bournemouth while Afriyie Acquah came from the bench to inspire his Torino side to a 3-1 victory over Fiorentina. Afriyie Acquah came on in the 65 minute when Torino was down by a goals and inspired the side with magnificent midfield display to embrace the 3-1 victory at the 3nd of regulation time.

Midfield compatriot Rabiu Mohammed lasted the entire 90 minutes for Kuban Krasnodar in the Russian league as they lost at home to champions CSKA Moscow.

The Black Stars players are expected to assemble in Congo ahead of the Afcon 2017 qualifier with Rwanda in Saturday in Kigali in what appears a difficult game for Ghana as Rwanda hopes to continue their unbeaten run since July 2013.
