Ghana coach Avram Grant overlooked Frank Acheampong and Albert Adomah in his 23-man squad for next month’s matches against Congo and Rwanda.

The Israeli trainer left their services will not be needed for the two assignments.

Acheampong, who plays for Belgian giants Anderlecht, has struggled for games in the opening round of the Pro League.

He has been linked with a move to French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille.

Adomah is unsettled at English championship Middlesbrough where it reported he has handed in a transfer request after falling out with manager Aitor Karanka.
