2017 AFCON: Ghana to arrive in Kigali on Wednesday for Rwanda clash

The Back Stars of Ghana will arrive in Rwanda on Wednesday for next week Saturday's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Amavubi in Kigali.

The Black Stars will engage Congo in a friendly in Brazzaville on Tuesday, September 1.

They will travel to Kigali the following day to face Amavubi of Rwanda in the Group H qualifier.

Ghana coach Avram Grant has included some key players in his 24-man squad for the qualifier against Rwanda. Grant has handed a maiden call-up to Italy-based Godfred Donsah, who recently joined Serie A side, Bologna. Midfielder Andre Ayew makes a return to the team after missing out on the opening qualifier against Mauritius.

The former Chelsea trainer has included in-form Andre Dede Ayew who missed the first qualifier against Mauritius due to injury but the forward has since recovered and has scored two goals for his new side Swansea in the English Premier League.

 

Also included is Richmond Boakye Yiadom, who has been in and out of the team has also made the squad that is captained by Asamoah Gyan. Ghana and Rwanda share top spot in Group H with three points apiece.
