Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan believes the side’s 3-2 win over Congo Brazzaville will serve as real boost to the side ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda on Saturday.

Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew grabbed the headlines with an injury time screamer for the Ghanaians as they recorded a nervy 3-2 win over the Red Devil in an international friendly on Tuesday.

And captain Asamoah Gyan believes the win will boost the team’s confidence ahead of the tie against the Amavubi.

“Jordan scored the winning goal today and I think it will build his confidence because he has not been finding the back of the net for his club,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM

It will boost his confidence and that’s good because we need everyone to be at the top of their game in the team.”
