2017 AFCON: Ghana name attacking-minded line-up to face Mozambique's Mambas in Maputo
Black Stars coach Avram Grant has named a strong line-up against Mozambique

Ghana coach Avram Grant has declared his intention of going all out for victory against Mozambique by naming a strong attacking-minded side against the Mambas in Maputo.

The Black Stars step into gear with a 3-1 triumph from the first-leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.

Frank Acheampong (calf) Wakaso Mubarak (thigh) and Christian Atsu (toe) are all ruled out of the encounter.

But there are places for Alfred Duncan, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Ebenezer Assifuah and Jeffrey Schlupp.

Despite the West African giants suffering from injuries ahead of the game former Chelsea manager Avram Grant has named a strong attacking-minded midfield and attack to take on the Southern Africans.

Leicester City utility wing-half Jeffrey Schlupp has taken his place in the starting line-up replacing the injured Frank Acheampong who scored the opener at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Udinese star Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has stepped in to cushion the middle with Las Palmas's Wakaso Mubarak ruled out with injury.

In-form Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan gets his first start under the Israeli gaffer following his commanding form in the Serie A.

Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew holds down his place in attack but Lorient's Abdul Majeed Waris has paid for his flaws in Accra by losing his spot to FC Sion's Ebenezer Assifuah.

Agyemang-Badu will be deployed in an attacking midfield role. The 25-year-old will join Schlupp, Assifuah and Ayew in an attacking quartet formation.

Alfred Duncan has also been given the license to surge forward and unleash some of his howitzers.

A victory for the Black Stars against Abel Xavier's side at the Estádio Nacional do Zimpeto will secure Ghana their 22nd AFCON appearance while it deny Mozambique any chance of a play-off berth.

Senegal (2015 AFCON) remain the only African country who have beaten Ghana under Avram Grant on African soil within regulation.
