Kwadwo Asamoah is expected to return to the Ghana squad ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius.

The 26-year-old returns to the squad for the first time since November after recovering from a career threatening injury.

The Juventus ace is fit again after being sidelined with a knee injury for close to six months.

Black Stars coach Avram Grant is expected to name the influential midfielder in his squad ahead of the opening qualifier against Mauritius at home on June 14.

The news will serve as real boost to the team as Asamoah is regarded as one of the most influential members of the Ghana squad.

Asamoah has made 66 senior international appearances for Ghana, scoring four times.
