Black Stars coach Avram Grant is set to name his squad this week ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius.

The Israeli trainer will firm up his final squad after monitoring Ghanaian players abroad.

GHANAsoccernet.com understands there will be no major changes in his squad as he is expected to keep the core of the team that played at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

In-form Maritzburg United defender John Pantsil could make a surprise return to the team after a fabulous season at the South African side.

Regulars Razak Brimah, Fatau Dauda, John Boye, Jonathan Mensa, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Andre Ayew, Baba Rahman, Jordan Ayew, Harrison Afful and Christian Atsu are cock-sure of making the squad.

Middlesbrough winger Albert Adomah is an interesting case after impressing heavily for the Boro this season despite their English Premier League qualification failure.

Kwadwo Asamoah will return to the squad for the first time since November while Abdul Majeed Waris is also available.

The Black Stars will play Mauritius on June 14 at home ahead of subsequent games against Rwanda and Mozambique.
